The DoubleMint Dentists

Doublemint Dentistry Society, Inc. (DMDs) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to supporting dental professionals, oral health advocates, and aspiring dentists transitioning into the profession. Founded in 2024 by

Drs. Sha-Vashtiy & Taphaphene Young—twin oral health advocates and TUSDM alumnae—DMD provides mentorship, networking opportunities, scholarships, and fundraising initiatives. Our goal is to advance the field of dentistry through service and professional development, creating a strong bridge between experienced professionals and the next generation of dental leaders.

Our Mission 

DMD Society focuses on increasing the number of minority health professionals through mentorship, scholarship, service, thus enhancing access to oral health care in the United States and worldwide. 

Our Impact 

Annually awarding over $3,000 in scholarships to a TUSDM students & faculty members who will be presenting their research at national conference of their choice, such as ASDA, ADEA, or AADOCR.

Our Promise

We provide resources and opportunities for professional development, aiming to enhance the skills and knowledge of dental students and practicing dentists.
